the brief
when i first approached anh thong, creative director at field design practice, field was still in the process of shaping its brand identity. field is a practical design training platform led by industry practitioners, created to help early-career designers develop specialised expertise through hands-on learning and critical thinking. alongside vocational courses, field also hosts industry talkshows that encourage dialogue, exchange, and stronger connections across vietnam’s creative community.

the decisions
I decided to treat Field’s generative identity as a living system rather than a static visual language. The goal was to translate its principles of exploration and individuality into the digital experience — using colour, motion, rhythm, and interaction to create variation within a consistent framework. Freedom within constraints.

The result is a digital experience that brings Field’s generative identity to life. A flexible visual system, combined with motion and interaction, creates a distinct experience across the platform while staying true to Field’s core idea of exploration, practice, and individuality.
